SO THEY SAY – Antidote For Irony

SoTheySay-Antidote-coverLately I have pretty much been listening to DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince and Elton John — let’s hope it’s a phase, right? The point is, I haven’t listened to pop-punk for about a month. So I decided to get off my lazy ass and start writing some reviews and I started with this record. I gotta say, it was kind of a breath of fresh air. I mean, So They Say is pretty standard pop-punk, songs about girls and all that shit, but I really liked it. It might have just been the fact that I haven’t listened to any of this style of music in a long time, which is a big possibility, or maybe this is a good record. I think it is a little of both. Plus, on the Punk Goes ‘80s CD, they did a sick cover of “Forever Young.” This record is pretty cool. Nothing new, but cool.
