Kimya Dawson’s New Album “Thunder Thighs” Scheduled for October Release

Thursday, August 18th, 2011

Kimya Dawson is self-releasing her next album Thunder Thighs on October 25th via Burnside Distribution. Her latest release features appearances by Aesop Rock, John Darnielle of the Mountain Goats, Nikolai Fraiture of the Strokes, Bryan Danielson, Forever Young Senior Citizen Rock and Roll Choir, Olympia Free Choir, and her own five-year-old daughter, Panda.

The first of 16 tracks to be uncovered is “All I Could Do,” a live performance for Kimya’s chickens in her backyard shot by Aesop Rock. The track acts as a musical snapshot of Kimya’s life, and is a great introduction to Thunder Thighs.
