After appearing on each other’s latest full-length records, rapper/producer Aesop Rock and folk singer-songwriter Kimya Dawson have officially joined forces as The Uncluded. Their first album Hokey Fright will be released May 7, 2013 on Rhymesayers Entertainment.

After collaborating on both Aesop’s Skelethon and Kimya’s Thunder Thighs, the two decided that they wanted to continue making music with each other as a group.

Hokey Fright was written, performed, and recorded entirely by Aesop and Kimya, except for a guest drum appearance by James McNew of Yo La Tengo on “Delicate Cycle.”  The album artwork was also done by illustrator/artist Travis Millard.
