George Clooney Says He “Terribly Destroyed the Part” of Batman, Comments on Ben Affleck

Alicia Silverstone, Chris O'Donnell, and George Clooney in "Batman & Robin"

While almost everyone on social media has already chimed in with their opinion regarding the news that Ben Affleck will star in the forthcoming Zack Snyder-directed Batman vs. Superman film in 2015, apparently no one asked George Clooney what he thought.

Finally, when Clooney was questioned regarding Ben Affleck as the Dark Knight, he stated the following:

“I am the least qualified person to comment on anyone playing the role of Batman since I so terribly destroyed the part. I tend to look at it like this – let’s just see what the movie is before everyone starts beating him up. He is a smart man, he knows what he is doing.”

Probably the best advice to take. Also, Clooney shouldn’t be so hard on himself. It’s not his fault that his suit had nipples, or that Chris O’Donnell had to do ninja laundry in 1997’s Batman & Robin:
