Warner Bros. has confirmed that The Social Network‘s Jesse Eisenberg will play Lex Luthor in Zack Snyder’s Batman vs. Superman, the upcoming sequel to Man of Steel. The studio also revealed that Jeremy Irons will be taking on the role of Bruce Wayne’s trusty butler, Alfred.

Previously, Ben Affleck was cast as Batman/Bruce Wayne, while Gal Gadot was cast as Wonder Woman. Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Superman, and the film also will star Amy Adams, Diane Lane and Laurence Fishburne. It will be in theaters on July 17, 2015.
