I cannot believe that there’s a singer out there who sounds like Getty Lee. Who knew? This album is an ambitious project for a band that flirts with hardcore but ends up confusing genres. Not a bad thing here, but at times the records loses its grip on the listener. Apparently, there’s a concept in here, and one can feel a story brewing. The problem is that stories need to be entertaining, and this record requires a serious emotional commitment that it doesn’t seem to warrant.

Coheed and Cambria fans will be selective because the music is accessible to a specific type of person. And I suppose that I’m not that type of person. Very clean production, nice touches here in there with piano and some neat percussion.
