Bob Burns and the Breakups are looking to keep alive the sort of raucous punk rock that tries to get the message across in two minutes or less. This is admirable at best, but mostly serves to be a reminder of the loads of bad punk bands that have come before. Most of the songs sound the same, the vocals are unintelligible, and there’s one song in the middle of the album that goes on for almost six minutes. It completely throws things off course. The music on this track is still composed of the bare-minimum of power chords, the vocals still don’t make any sense, and you’re likely to have a headache after listening to the whole thing. This CD serves no purpose in this decade and would have been ignored back in the heyday of punk.
