WILL HAVEN – Carpe Diem

Carpe DiemOriginally published in Verbicide issue #5

Carpe Diem features no “metally” guitar solos and no obnoxious tough-guy sounding vocals; just the painfully powerful cries of Grady Avenell, punishing rhythms, and aggressively haunting, crunchy guitar with lots of bends. My favorite song is track four, “BATS.” The first minute-plus is a thumping bass drum and bass guitar riff with squealing guitar feedback which breaks into four minutes of adrenaline. To quote Monty Burns, “Excellent.”
