The trend of classic rock influenced indie bands continues with this LP. Avant-garde styled lyrics mix with music fashioned on the stylings of such rock ‘n’n roll greats as the Rolling Stones and the Doors. While Find Your Home may have been quite at home in the late ’60s, there’s a modern element, particularly in the bass work. Responding to the introverted reminiscings of interpersonal relationships, the lyrics tend toward a singular theme of boy-asks-girl-then-boy states-his-position. Tracks like “Hitchhiking” offer a bit different subject matter, though no less straightforward. It is unassuming rock ‘n’ roll, and great diversion from the usual Sub Pop catalogue.
