VTV: Premiere of The Americans’ “Requiem” video featuring Sean Lennon

Thursday, October 7th, 2010

“Requiem” is the debut music video off of The Americans’ forthcoming album, The White EP. The video, directed by Jordan Galland, stars lead singer Charlie Klarsfeld and Sean Lennon who co-produced and lends vocals to the song. The rest of the New York based band play supporting roles in a Hal-Ashby inspired landscape that chronicles the suicidal tendencies of the video’s beautiful heroine (a la Harold & Maude).

The Americans was formed by the London-born, Paris-raised, Charlie Klarsfeld who now resides in New York with the band’s additional four members. Since their start in 2008, The Americans have collaborated with the likes of the Dap Kings, who contributed the horns section to the band’s self-titled debut EP, Daniel Merriweather, and Sean Lennon, who is not only featured on The Americans’ forthcoming White EP, but also produced a track on the six-song release, set for November 2010.
