Duo Victoria+Jean (she on vocals and he on guitar, respectively) recently played SXSW 2016 in Austin, Texas before returning to Europe for several dates in Belgium and the UK. Where is your ideal vacation spot?
Maldives.

Sweet, slightly salty Swiss Gruyère.
What is your absolute oldest memory?
Black and white tiles in our Swedish apartment floor when I was two…(I think).
How many times have you visited Disneyland and/or Disney World? What is your favorite attraction?
Disneyland Paris about 15 or 20 times, I can’t count. Favorite attraction was the Star Wars ship one.
How many pillows do you use?
Two pillows.
Did you have a favorite stuffed animal as a child? What was it?

Where would you rather hang out: a dive bar, a trendy coffee shop, or an old-fashioned drugstore with a counter where you can get an egg cream and a hamburger for a nickel?
Difficult, hmm…I’d say a dive bar that would do hamburgers for a nickel!
What’s the best or most memorable venue you’ve ever played?
L’Olympia in Paris (Edith Piaf was there, the Rolling Stones, Gainsbourg, to name a few).
Australia or New Zealand?
New Zealand, because I want to catch the landscapes in The Lord of the Rings. It’s beautiful over there.
What is one interview question you’ve never been asked? How would you answer it?

Ever been sprayed with champagne? Ever had a cooler full of Gatorade dumped on your head? Ever had a beer bottle smashed across your jaw?
I think Jean more than once has had a bottle smashed into his jaw, and even got pushed through a window!
What’s your favorite comic book?
Calvin and Hobbes, can’t get enough of them. I have the whole collection.
Who is your all-time favorite author? If you can’t decide, list more than one. Which is your favorite book by your favorite author(s)?
Astrid Lindgren (Pippi Longstocking, and you have to admit that for kids she’s amazing); Raymond Queneau (L’instant Fatal); Jacques Prévert (but he’s more of a poet); Henrik Ibsen (A Doll’s House); and Alfred Jarry (Père Ubu plays).
How many languages can you speak, and which ones?
Three: English, French, and Swedish.
How many pets do you have, what are their names?
Two Maine Coon cats (Mono and Taxi) and one English bulldog (Boris, but we call him Bibi).
