TIM BARRY – Rivanna Junction

reviewed by Neal Page | Thursday, June 21st, 2007

timbarry-rivannaTim Barry’s Rivanna Junction is an amazing document of personal reflection, self-deprecating storytelling, and peaceful resolution. This 10-song album is a testament of the amazing Americana that’s been coming out of Richmond in the last couple of years. His song “Avoiding Catatonic Surrender” contains possibly the greatest delivered lyrics I’ve heard in a while. This album is alive! For fans of Buck Owens, Lucero, Old 97’s, Clint Maul, The Izzys, and Tom Waits.
