We at Verbicide love movies but hate movie posters. This inherent contradiction is an inherent contradiction. Fuck metaphors.
Which brings us right to the matter at hand. Is it just me, or have a slew of current movie posters just decided to stop trying? I’m not talking about the usual photoshop design rejects that haunt our theaters. I’m talking about movies with pitch meeting titles that somehow made it past the script stage and onto the screen. Movies like Tower Heist and Man On A Ledge that are literally about a tower heist and a man on a ledge. Not that we’re complaining. Verbicide has been championing this kind of truth in advertising for a long time.
