The New York City Food Film Festival Kicks Off on October 13

Tuesday, October 11th, 2011

The New York City Food Film Festival is back! The festival will be a four-day event with an impressive array of short films, local restaurants, foodies, and the opportunity to taste some excellent food.

The festival is in its fifth year and kicks off at Tribeca Cinemas on Thursday, October 13th with “A Cheers to Burgers and Beers,” a series of films about two American staples: the burger and the perfect pint. Saturday marks the “Tribeca Taco Takedown” and the highly anticipated “Food Porn Party,” where octopus, French pastries, and pots du crème are only a few of the rare specialties on the menu. The festival will come to a close Sunday night with “Farm to Film to Table.” It’s an evening of films about farm fresh foods and the importance of sustainability and buying locally.

Tribeca is going to be bustling with food, films, and some of the city’s finest culinary wonders —
