
All kinds of news coming out of The Flaming Lips camp…
First, for you vinyl hounds already salivating for this year’s Record Store Day, the Lips are going to be dropping a doozy: Heady Nuggs: The First Five Warner Bros. Records, 1992-2002 box set will land in indie stores (in limited quantities, of course) on RSD 2011, April 16. Included are: 1992’s Hit to Death in the Future Head, 1993’s Transmissions From the Satellite Heart, 1995’s Clouds Taste Metallic, 1999’s The Soft Bulletin, and 2002’s Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots. The set will be available on 140-gram vinyl, and an even specialer edition of the set pressed on five different colors of vinyl will be available from the band’s website.
