The decidedly blue-collar Dexateens are proudly comprised of a cabinet maker, a carpenter, multiple restaurant and bar employees, and one full-time member of Drive-By Truckers. And now, after a half-decade hiatus, the cult-favorite Alabama rock and roll collective is back in action, on the road again, and finally set to release the long-shelved Teenage Hallelujah, which will be released October 7, 2016 on Cornelius Chapel Records.

Recorded back in 2011 (and marking the end of Lee Bains’ tenure on guitar), Teenage Hallelujah captures the thrilling sound of a band imploding in the midst of an inspired streak of greatness. Before the sessions wrapped, Bains would be long gone, and the rest of the band would call it quits too. Luckily, the moment was laid to wax, and today you can hear the exclusive premiere of a cut from the album, “Shake N Bake Astrovan,” streaming below. Upcoming tour dates for the band (now featuring Taylor Hollingsworth on guitar) are beneath the track.
