This is like if the guys from Pavement did a record with Atom & His Package, and had the guys from the Violent Femmes show up once in a while. It’s a riot, and I really wanted to love this record, but somebody needs to tell the lyric writer that while making sense isn’t required, it is nice once in awhile. Makes it easier for us to sing along. Sometimes the band could be tighter, but for the most part they play a fun style that seems to poke fun at emo and punk and indie slop-rock. And they’re another band who should make more use of the tambourine.
