Seattle’s Soundgarden are ready to release their first new album in nearly 16 years: King Animal will be released on November 13, 2012, marking the band’s first studio release since 1996’s Down on the Upside.

“[The album] re-establishes that we still rock, we’re still heavy and we’re still a little weird,” guitarist Kim Thayil recently told Rolling Stone.
