Now here’s something everyone can enjoy. Sonic Youth are streaming a new mixtape (SY Mixtape Vol. 8) on their website featuring some new music, as well as unreleased versions of some old classics. They state on their news blog:

We’ve been going thru our closets and thru hidden (and sometimes forgotten) boxes to put together this streaming Mixtape #8 –  featured on the stream are a couple songs from the soon to be released SYR 9 Simon Werner A Disparu, demos from Daydream Nation and a recent recording of Star Power. The mixtape is found in the upper right corner just above the news on the front page.
