Famed indie rockers Sebadoh have signed to Joyful Noise Recordings and have announced the impending release of their first new LP in 14 years.

Sebadoh, which features Lou Barlow (also of Dinosaur Jr.), Jason Loewenstein, and Bob D’Amico, will release the LP Defend Yourself on September 17, 2013. Defend Yourself marks a return to the self-recorded DIY ethos of early Sebadoh albums, such as Bakesale and Sebadoh III.

The band has also released a precursor to this LP, known as Secret EP. The band quietly posted these five tracks on their Bandcamp page several months ago, but now, Joyful Noise is giving the Secret EP a proper release, available on digital, 10″ black vinyl, and limited edition 10″ green marble vinyl (300 hand-numbered copies).
