Dave Gregg, Former Guitarist of D.O.A. and The Real McKenzies, Dies at Age 54

DOA guitarist Dave Gregg has died at the age of 54. News of his death was reported on March 31, 2014 via the Authortities who stated on Facebook that Gregg died on the night of March 30th:

“Our dear friend and mentor Dave Gregg passed away yesterday evening surrounded by family in White Rock, BC… Those of you who know Dave, understand what an incredible person he was and know what a huge gap is now in a lot of lives. We will miss you Dave.”

Gregg joined DOA in 1980 as second guitarist and played on albums including DOA’s 1980 debut Something Better Change and Hardcore ’81. He quit the band in 1988, but later played in The Real McKenzies for several years.

D.O.A. have not yet commented on Gregg’s passing. A cause of death has yet to be revealed.
