Though there was some recent speculation in the media, Rage Against The Machine will not be recording a new album anytime soon, nor are they presently working on any new material.

As reported at Ology.com, guitarist Tom Morello stated:

“The band is not writing songs, the band is not in the studio,” Morello told Pulse Of Radio this week. “We get along famously and we all, you know, intend to do more Rage Against the Machine stuff in the future, but beyond sort of working out a concert this year, there’s nothing else on the schedule.”

Rage will be performing at L.A. Rising in Los Angeles on July 30th.
