Heather Schofner hit the pavement in Seattle to cover Decibel International Festival of Electronic Music Performance, Visual Art, and New Media for Verbicide. She took in performances by headliners Orbital and DJ Shadow, squeezing up front to get great shots of the action. She enjoyed original, unsettling music and visuals at the Modern Love Showcase featuring Demdike Stare, was assaulted by beats during Emptyset’s show at the Raster-Noton showcase, and swooned during Keyboard Kid’s set during Beat Prodigies.
