The praise for Phosphorescent’s Here’s To Taking It Easy is pouring in. Taking Mojo’s album of the month honors, the glowing review says that songwriter Matthew Houck, “produces songs that skitter round your peripheral vision, hide in the back of your mind, their outlaw mental state playing hide-and-seek behind classic rock curtains.” Uncut offer equally gushing praise, calling it, “a bold record, steeped in Neil Young’s ‘Doom Trilogy’ and the rich sounds of classic rock.” Q Magazine also joins the fray, calling the album a, “mouthwatering harvest of Gene Clark and Neil Young’s fantasy offspring.”

Here’s To Taking It Easy was released on May 11 on Dead Oceans.
