V/A – Oi! This Is Streetpunk, Volume Three

Oi! This Is Streetpunk, Vol. 3Without question, Pirates Press is one of the best, if not the place, to score all your oi! and street punk cravings. It doesn’t matter if you’re old and lived the spirit of ’69 or a shiny new fresh cut, these comps hit you head on with nothing but the deal. From the opening track “Go Motherfucker” by The Gonads (who arguably invented street punk — and, judging by this cut, have lost none of their street punk hooligan-osity), this record is all real.

Where so many comps get filled up with random throwaway tracks or shit that doesn’t “make it onto the disc, maaaaaaan”, these Pirates Press comps get all chock full of solid, unreleased rarities or tunes that are so new, you ain’t gonna hear ’em until they get officially released or you check the band out live.

I mean seriously, you can’t go wrong at all with face-first, scraped-knuckle tracks from the sidewalks edge by Crashed Out, Epic Problem, The Shame, Bonecrusher, Stranglehold, and more.

If you know of these comps, then you know. If not, and y’all like a bit of aggro in your punk rock, get these ASAP.
