On the second night of club shows at Punk Rock Bowling 2013, The Muffs highlighted an evening at Las Vegas Country Saloon on Fremont Street. Playing a best-of set that spanned their 22-year history, the band was loud and precise, and proved that they haven’t lost a bit of intensity that first brought them to fame two decades ago. Guitarist/vocalist Kim Shattuck has one of the best screams in rock n’ roll; how she can continue to shred her vocal chords is beyond me. Mind blown — The Muffs put on one of the very best sets of the 2013 PRB weekend. The Detroit Cobras and Throw Rag rounded out the night at LVCS.
