MIRACLES – Hugo Mudie and Fred Jacques Present…

Hugo Mudie and Fred Jacques Present...Despite the disbandment of The Sainte Catherines, Hugo Mudie still manages to keep himself busy within the Montreal punk scene. Not only has he been working like a dog to bring us Pouzza Fest 2013, but he recently released a record with his former bandmate Fred Jacques from The Sainte Catherines and Yesterday’s Ring.

For those of you dying to hear the fast and loud punk sound that The Sainte Catherines delivered, you might be disappointed, as Miracles has a slow and calm folk sound similar to Yesterday’s Ring. But fret not, because Mudie still sings in his signature Quebecois rasp. This record also has an impressive selection of instrumentation, such as banjo, piano, harmonica, trumpet, and accordion to compliment Fred Jacques’ masterful guitar-playing. So just relax, close your eyes and let Hugo Mudie sing you to sleep with his sweet lullabies.
