Mike Park, founder of Asian Man Records and former member of Skankin’ Pickle, has announced a new band called Maguma Taishi, a band that plays “lo-fi punk rock influenced by the Japanese hardcore scene.” The band also includes Patrick Costello of Dillinger Four and Matthew Kazama and Hideo Takahashi from Birthday Suits. The band will be releasing a seven-inch record this summer; however, Park states that “we will probably never play a show.”
