LEWIS – Even So

Even SoOriginally published in Verbicide issue #6

Lewis is an experimental, serene indie response to Radiohead. They drag on at times, but it’s not enough to keep me from really liking the vocals and the fact that right when you think their music is getting too monotonous…what’s that? Oh! They pick up the tempo to suck you back in. I can see people listening to this and enjoying this and I can see lots of self-conscious indie-rocker types doing “the nod” with their arms crossed at a show. Is there any bigger sign of approval than that?
