Koo Koo Kanga Roo from Minneapolis play music that’s a cross between the Aquabats, LazyTown, and LMFAO with a dash of Lady Gaga and Lily Allen for good measure. Catchy electronic hooks coupled with silly songs about fanny packs, pizza, and superheroes.
Upon first listen, my six-year-old said, “They should be on ‘Yo Gabba Gabba!'” Lo and behold, according to the press sheet, Koo Koo Kanga Roo “can one night play with Dillinger Four and then the next night play on ‘Yo Gabba Gabba!’ They’ve toured with Frank Turner and also the Aquabats.”
