Joan Jett May Front Nirvana At 2014 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Induction

Joan Jett

April 10, 2014 will see Nirvana inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame — at least, for three of its members: Bassist Krist Novoselic, drummer Dave Grohl, and the late front man Kurt Cobain. Unfortunately, despite being the second-longest tenured drummer of the band (whose participation in the recording of the single “Love Buzz” is the entire reason Nirvana is eligible for induction this year), Chad Channing will not be included.

Apparently, the drummer will not be participating in the musical performance of the evening either. A photo was posted to both the Nirvana and Foo Fighter’s Facebook pages showing Grohl’s drum set, Novoselic’s bass, and guitars belonging to Pat Smear (Nirvana’s last touring member on second guitar) and Joan Jett. So, it appears that the band will reunite once again with Jett at the helm.

In 2012, Grohl, Novoselic, and Smear joined up with former Beatle Paul McCartney for several live performances. (via HuffPo)
