On May 6, 2014, Dischord Records will reissue Novelty, the second album by Jawbox, on clear vinyl. The 12″ LP features a free MP3 download, which includes the 10 original album tracks plus two extra songs from the “Tongues” seven-inch.

Novelty was recorded at Inner Ear Studios in January of 1992 with producer Iain Burgess and was the band’s first full-length to feature guitar player Bill Barbot, as the band performed as a trio on their 1991 debut album, Grippe. The record has been remastered and recut by Bob Weston at Chicago Mastering Studios and will be pressed onto clear-colored vinyl with revised artwork.
