According to this band’s press release, they are just about the biggest thing in Europe since Napoleon. This record seems to be a compilation of their best stuff from their last four albums. So you are probably wondering, did they live up to the hype? And is it a good greatest hits record? And if you kiss a guy does that make you gay? Well, I can help with the first two. I think they have the potential to replace bands of almost-famous stature like The Academy Is or Matchbook Romance. But they are going to have to work really hard and they are going to have to compromise their sound if they want that success. Their press release certainly seems like that commercial success in America is what they are searching for. Now, I am not too into that whole “let’s get famous and make lots of money and get videos on MTV scene,” so I immediately do not like the attitude in this band. However, I do find myself enjoying their sound quite a bit. I just wish that they were more into the music and didn’t put off such an aura of being huge dicks.
