Green Day have announced that they will make their SXSW debut on Friday, March 15, 2013, two weeks prior to starting their forthcoming tour. Their appearance at SXSW will include a special double-feature screening of films at the Paramount Theatre, the world premiere of Broadway Idiot and the Green Day documentary ¡Cuatro!
Later that night the band will perform an Austin City Limits Live show at the Moody Theatre. This will be Green Day’s first show since Billie Joe Armstrong entered rehab in fall of 2012.
