I certainly wasn’t expecting this: according to TMZ, director Richard Donner has stated that he’s making a sequel to The Goonies and wants to bring back the entire cast. Donner was signing autographs in Beverly Hills when he made the announcement.

Donner didn’t say whether he’ll recast the main characters and bring in Corey Feldman, Josh Brolin, Sean Astin, and the rest of the original gang for cameos, or if they will play adult versions of themselves.
