Unlike the TV series from the 1980s of the same name, a new show entitled “Friday the 13th” is being developed for television that will actually feature Jason Voorhees.

Deadline reports that Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films and Crystal Lake Entertainment have set a deal to produce a new hour-long dramatic series based upon the characters and settings of Friday The 13th. Bill Basso (Terminator) and Jordu Schell (Avatar) are working on a script that sets “a storyline that re-imagines Jason in multiple time periods.”

Also, apparently Platinum Dunes is working on yet another Friday the 13th film remake for 2015. (via Bloody Disgusting)
