The Gorillaz — in human form — stopped by The Colbert Report yesterday for an interview and exclusive performance. The band — which included The Clash‘s Mick Jones and Paul Simonon, as well as Bobby Womack — performed “Stylo” from their latest album Plastic Beach, and Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett spoke with Stephen (rather, “Steve”) Colbert. Prior to the interview, Colbert took a phone call from Murdoc, a representative of the “real” Gorillaz, just to reinforce the cartoon band concept lest it slip anyone’s mind.
