According to Deadline Hollywood, DreamWorks is in talks with the estate of author John Steinbeck to make a new version of The Grapes Of Wrath. The novel by John Steinbeck was first turned a film in 1940 with the release of the classic movie by John Ford, starring Henry Fonda as Tom Joad. Supposedly, Steven Spielberg is going to be involved, though “DreamWorks said definitively that he is only interested in producing the picture, and will absolutely not direct it.”
