It looks like the long-running rumor that the Descendents are recording a new album may finally be coming true.

On October 20, 2014, the four members of Descendents — Milo Aukerman, Bill Stevenson, Karl Alvarez, and Stephen Egerton — took to Reddit for an AMA session, mainly to promote the Descendents/ALL documentary Filmage. One of the questions, posed by user hiimmike, asked, “It’s been rumored for a few years now that you guys have been working on a new album together. Any truth to this? And if so, when can we expect to hear some new material?”

Drummer Bill Stevenson replied, “we are getting all of our songs organized and we will record over the best [sic] several months.”

While I’m assuming he meant to type “next,” they will indeed be the best months.
