The Blair Witch Project creator Eduardo Sanchez announced that he would like to create a third film to resuscitate the the “Blair Witch” film franchise.

Sanchez and Daniel Myrick co-wrote and directed the 1999 horror film, and announced their version of a sequel in 2009, but few new details emerged since.

“It’s completely up to Lionsgate,” Sanchez said of starting production on the film. “It’s just a matter of getting our schedules in line and having Lionsgate sign off on the idea. (via The Marquee Blog)
