Kill Rock Stars reports that Corin Tucker, formerly of Sleater-Kinney and Heavens to Betsy, will be releasing her first solo album in October of 2010. Corin spoke with The Portland Mercury about the forthcoming release, and she too (like Carrie Brownstein in her recent interview with IFC) leaves the door open to the possibility of a S-K reunion in the near future.

In other news from KRS, the label has just released an excellent 21-track label sampler, a best-of grab bag from the label’s history — tracks include cuts from Quasi, Unwound, Deerhoof, Xiu Xiu, Bikini Kill, Bratmobile, Comet Gain, Elliott Smith, and, yes, Sleater-Kinney.
