Chainwave came to life in the fall of 2012, formed by the songwriting duo of Ian Jacobs (vocals/guitar) and Michelle Feliciano (drums/vocals). After years of playing in multiple other Brooklyn and New York City-based projects, Jacobs and Feliciano dived head first into this band with a clear understanding and a solid foundation. The outcome is a melodic, fuzzy, surf-y, swim-at-your-own-risk churn that at times is reminiscent of Ty Segall, The Pixies, or Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. Chainwave is angular indie with energy; they aim to drive melodies through the most gripping parts of your musical scenery. A full length album will be released in the summer of 2013.
