The Tournament of Tease at the Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekender continued with the competition for Best Boylesque (a.k.a. King of Boylesque). Three out of four performers heralded from Seattle: Paris Original, Trojan Original, and Eddie Van Glam. Mr. Gorgeous of New York kicked off the category by coming out in nerdy glasses with a tray of milkshakes. He balanced the tray on a pole on his chin, removing his vest while doing so. Then the curtain behind him was pulled open to reveal a big fluffy ice cream cone. He removed his pants to display a sprinkle-covered outfit and proceeded to strip. At the end of his act he placed a cherry on his package to the audience’s delight, and he was crowned king at the end of the night.

Twin brothers Paris and Trojan Original treated the audience to two totally contrasting styles of burlesque. Trojan’s act was very minimalistic. No sparkles, no feathers — just him and a red towel. Paris’s “Phoenix” act was the opposite in every way: he wore heels and rhinestones, going from blue to fiery red during the course of his performance. Eddie Van Glam’s performance was a hilarious homage to Randy “Macho Man” Savage. He danced to, you guessed it, “Macho Man” by the Village People, and did a lot of exciting jumps and flips. At the end of his act he strapped a Slim Jim to his junk and did some pelvic thrusts. The crowd ate it up [metaphorically]!
