Though this is titled a “best of” book, it’s not really — “best of” seems to imply it was selected as the best from his entire body of work, while the comics in this collection are all from around 1993 to 2000.

That said, I enjoy Harvey Pekar‘s work, and even when some of his stories become dull and meandering, I can’t look away. I just like the guy. I can’t believe he’s been gone for nearly a decade now. This was enjoyable to revisit.
