Anne Frank’s Diary to be Published as a Comic Book

Sunday, July 11th, 2010

Endorsed by the Anne Frank House Museum, a graphic novel version of Anne Frank’s WWII-era diary has just been released to bring her story to a wider audience: teenagers who might not otherwise read Anne Frank’s diary, according to spokeswoman Annemarie Bekker.

Publisher Hill & Wang (the arm of Farrar, Straus and Giroux focused on history) will launch the graphic narrative in the United States later this month. The graphic novelization is a collaboration between American author Sid Jacobson and artist Ernest Colon, who also co-produced a best-selling graphic novel, The 9/11 Commission Report.
