This is Action Action’s second album I believe, the follow up to Don’t Cut Your Fabric To This Year’s Fashion. Besides sharing long album titles, the two records also share the same basic sound. A brand of punk, new wave fusion, kinda like The Faint. Even though the band retained their sound with the new album, they have greatly evolved as musicians and songwriters, the way a band should. So, not only will you find the synth-punk sound on this album, but you will also hear heavy influences from The Beatles, The Cure, and even Oasis. If there’s one thing I cannot stand, it’s when a band’s new album sounds exactly like their first, and Action Action definitely do not fall into that category. This is an awesome album from a great band — I can’t wait to see what they do on the next one.
