There isn’t enough that I could say about how much I love or appreciate Fugazi. We all know how great their new album is, and basically this little three-song EP — released around the same time as The Argument — is more like a little companion to go along with the full-length, rather than a separate entity. The first song, “Furniture,” sounds much like Fugazi circa 1990, and has that great sarcastic humor of Ian MacKaye: “This is a song with no words/but no one can hear the missing/they just look at my mouth/and look at my mouth/and say, ‘hey man, I know where you’re coming from.’” Track two, “Number 5,” is a rocking three-minute instrumental, followed by “Hello Morning,” the essential Guy Picciotto track. If you buy the new LP, you should get this too. For four bucks, why not?
