Six tracks of metal. No wanna-be “this-core” or “that-core.” Just metal. No song titles, just acid-larynxed, Mack truck grudge-fuck metal. Sludgy and not for pretty people. Has that rough sound to it that demos always have. Past that it’s pretty chuggin’ thick. Sulfuric phlegm singing gets broken up by actual singing; a little warbly at times but not bad. A nice homage to Sabbath on track two, too. Track five is a fine one to stomp to. You know, you can hear something in this disc that wants to grow up and lurk in the shadows, and that’s what lifts this a bit above other demos that just fake the darkness. Slithery. Damn! Did I mention that the last track is almost seven minutes long? Fuck, dude. It’s like getting punched in the neck reeeal slow.
