Freddie MercuryWhile waiting for Green Day to come on stage, the record-setting crowd at London’s Emirates Stadium (capacity: 60,361) decided to pass the time by singing along to Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.”

One eyewitness wrote the following:

The crowd were going more crazy for this than any of the support acts. It is probably the closest i’ll get ever get to going to a Queen stadium gig. R.I.P. Freddie even in death you can still work a crowd.

You can watch the video below.

Interestingly, this was not the largest singalong in history. That mark goes to 105,00 soccer fans in Berlin, Germany, who were singing along to…you guessed it, Queen. According to Guiness World Records,

The largest simultaneous sing along was achieved by more than 105,000 fans who sang along to Queen’s “We Will Rock You” during Germany’s match against Argentina at FIFA Fan Fest Berlin at Olympic Stadium in Berlin, Germany on 3 July 2010. An estimated 350,000 attended the event.
