Claiming a broad and diverse fan base, this band fresh out of boy band-famous Orlando seems to have packaged their five-song EP with teeny-bopping scenesters in mind. It may not be their fault. After they came into the scene with a self-titled demo in ’98, they released a full-length from Fastmusic called The People Mover, and they may just be out of everything they had that doesn’t sound like pop. As an honorary emo kid, the predictable slow beat, the power chords, and the whiny lyrics just sound pre-packaged to me. After this I wanted to listen to NIN. They sound like A New Found Glory, after the sell-out. Though they have toured with the Ataris, whom I secretly love, hey really don’t hold a candle to them. The best track on here was “Invisible Touch,” but Phil Collins did it first and still does it better. All in all, a disappointing album and a watered-down version of Blink 182.
